Hotel pickup
Air-conditioned car arrives at your Jaipur hotel. Your guide will brief you on the sanctuary backstory during the 45-minute drive north.
Welcome at sanctuary
Meet the on-duty mahout team. Introductions to each elephant — names, ages, where they were rescued from, what makes each one special.
Feeding session
Hand-feed sugarcane, bananas, seasonal fruit. Watch how each elephant accepts food differently — Lakshmi is enthusiastic, Champa is delicate.
Forehead painting
A mahout shows you the traditional herbal-pigment painting ritual. The elephants tilt their heads toward you — they like it.
Forest walk
15-minute walk beside the elephants on a shaded trail. No saddles, no chains. You match their pace.
Pond bath
Bucket-and-brush at the pond edge. Moti will splash you. Bring a change of clothes. This is the part everyone remembers.
Tea + Q&A
Masala chai and fresh roti at the sanctuary kitchen. Founder Q&A if available. Ask anything about the work.
Drive back
Drop at your hotel by ~10:30 AM. Optional add-on: continue to Amber Fort visit ($25 extra).
