Jaipur to Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur) Taxi Fare 2026
All-inclusive one-way fares — tolls, driver charges and fuel included. GST 5% extra. No advance-booking games, no surge. The price you see is the price you pay.
All-inclusive of tolls, fuel and driver; GST 5% extra. Note: the cab takes you to your Ranthambore hotel — safaris themselves run in registered forest Gypsies/Canters that we can help you book (park fees separate).
Ranthambore is the easiest tiger reserve to reach from Jaipur — 160 km, 3 hours, and you are at the park gate town of Sawai Madhopur. The trick is timing: safaris run in two slots (roughly 6–9:30 AM and 2–5:30 PM, shifting by season), and your drive should land you in time to rest before one.
The plan that works
Leave Jaipur by 10 AM, check in by 1:30 PM, do the evening safari the same day, the morning safari next day, and be back in Jaipur by next-day lunch. Two safaris across two days is the honest minimum for a real chance at a sighting.
Safari bookings — do them before the cab
Safari permits sell out days (peak season: weeks) ahead on the forest department portal. Book permits first, then the cab. If you need help, WhatsApp us — we arrange permits, Gypsy and naturalist as part of our safari package, or standalone for a fee.
On the way: where we can stop
It's your private cab — stop wherever you like. These are the favourites:
Tonk
Halfway chai stop on the Jaipur–Tonk road.
Chauth Mata Temple, Barwara
Hilltop temple 25 km before Sawai Madhopur — 45-minute stop if you have the slack.
Ranthambore Fort
Inside the park but open to all (no safari permit needed) — a UNESCO fort with Trinetra Ganesh temple. Great filler between safaris.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Jaipur to Ranthambore taxi fare?
₹1,999 one way by AC sedan, ₹2,599 by Ertiga, ₹3,499 by Innova Crysta, ₹6,999 by Tempo Traveller — all-inclusive; GST 5% extra.
How long does Jaipur to Ranthambore take?
About 3 hours for 160 km via Tonk Road to Sawai Madhopur. Leave Jaipur by 10 AM to comfortably make the same-day evening safari.
Can the taxi take us on the safari?
No — safaris run only in registered forest-department Gypsies and Canters with licensed naturalists. Your cab drops you at the hotel; the safari vehicle picks you up from there. We can arrange permits and Gypsy bookings.
Is a same-day return with safari possible?
Technically yes with the morning safari (leave Jaipur 3:30 AM) — but it is brutal. The 1-night plan with evening + morning safaris is far better and barely costs more. We will say the same on WhatsApp.
When is the best season for Ranthambore?
October–June (park zones 1–5 close in monsoon, July–September). Best sighting odds: March–June. Most pleasant weather: October–February, with slightly lower odds — plan more safaris.
