Elephant safari Jaipur price (2026): the ethical, no-riding sanctuary experience costs $59 / ₹4,900 per person for the 90-minute Sanctuary Morning (max 12 guests), $129 / ₹10,700 for the golden-hour Photographer's Hour (max 4 guests), and $249 / ₹20,700 for the half-day Private Mahout Day (your party only).

Every tier includes: hotel pickup & drop anywhere in Jaipur, sanctuary entry, feeding, forest walk and pond bathing session — no riding, ever.
Kids 4-12: half price ($29.50 / ₹2,450 on Sanctuary Morning). Minimum age 4.
Slots: 7:30 AM or 4:00 PM only — the hours the elephants are comfortable.
Payment: UPI, card or PayPal, on the day. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before.

We get asked this a lot. Here's the rough split for the standard Sanctuary Morning tier.

Elephant care & fodder

Each elephant eats 200kg of green fodder daily plus fruits, jaggery, vitamins. Your $59 covers about one elephant's breakfast.

Mahout & sanctuary staff

Four mahouts work the morning shift. Your visit funds their wages — significantly higher than the Amer Fort ride rate.

Vet care & rehabilitation

Bi-weekly vet visits, supplements, joint care for elder elephants. Recovery from rescue takes 12-24 months.

Transport & operations

AC car, fuel, driver wages, hotel pickups. Same vehicle used for all tour services.

Insurance & permits

Sanctuary licensing, animal welfare insurance, wildlife department fees, mandatory annual audits.

What's left after the above — typically 3%. We don't get rich from elephant tourism. That's the point.

How much does the ethical elephant safari in Jaipur cost?

Is there a deposit? How do I pay?

No deposit for most dates — reserve on WhatsApp and pay on the day by UPI (Indian guests), card or PayPal. Only peak-season slots (Nov-Feb) ask for a 30% advance to hold the date.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your slot. 50% charge between 24-48 hours. No refund within 24 hours, because permits are reserved and the car is dispatched.

Do children get a discount?
